Hello. I’m trying to add a slider to my page with different pixel dimensions for the PC and Mobile versions.
PC should be 1000×700 and mobile should be 500×350.
I was able to make each height unique just fine; 1000 for PC and 500 for mobile.
Unfortunately, whenever I edit the WIDTH value, both for PC or mobile, it changes for the other version as well.
Should I use a custom CSS to fix this?
My current theme is Twenty Twenty-Three.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Exactly the same problem. I’m trying to use the built-in slider in Otter Blocks and it’s not mobile responsive even though the preview shows it should. I have square photos, I want them to be displayed one at a time. They must be 400 x 400 px in order to fit in the phone browser in portrait orientation. But then they are too small for desktop.

    Here is an example: https://slubne.ogicom.pl/norwegian-mood/

please see on desktop and on mobile

And this is what happens when I want the photos on the desktop to be displayed 600 x 600 px and at the same time fit in, scaled to the mobile window in a vertical orientation:

They do not fit vertically on the phone, they do not scale:

Nowadays, scaling to mobile and device detection is probably a standard? Galleries should be flexible/responsive by default? Maybe it’s a matter of additional css code that needs injection?

Please help for us. For me it’s very important.

    Hey,

The responsive option is only available for Height while the Width adjust automatically. It’s hard to really make Slider images responsive with all sizes so that’s why we recommend you should use images where the subject is in center so it looks great on all devices.

    Let me know your thoughts.

Hi! Can we switch this functionality for the option: Responsive is only available for Widh while Heigh adjust automatically? This will be resolve this problem. On the desktop and mobile too slider will be automatically try to switch for width resolution if it will be more than device. Maybe css code injection?
