Slider trouble, footer help

Hello everyone, I have 2 questions, please help the best you can:

1. For my profitmag theme, I’ve noticed that my slider doesn’t show excerpts for the posts I assign to it, but on other profitmag themes I see the excerpt displayed. Anyway I can get my excerpts to show in the slider?

2. There is a “Proudly powered by WordPress” credit on the bottom of the screen that stays there as you scroll down the page, but I look at other profitmag sites and don’t see this credit, anyway to remove it?
