• After moving a client’s site from a test server to the production server, the sliders show blank (the nav arrows and bullets show, but no images) after I suspended the test site. The slider is looking for the images at the test site URL, and works as long as the test site is available.

Where do I update these links?

    Hi @rhenner1,

Did you move all DB and Files(upload folder) Test Site to the Live Site correctly?

Can you share the live page URL where the slider is embedded?

I will check this for you.

    Thanks

    Hi @farazfrank,

As far as I can tell, everything is working correctly except the slider image links, which still reference https://69.90.62.220/~francescavivenza/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/moon-1.jpg (one of my test servers). I checked the database, and found these links in the GUID fields in the POSTS table, but I cannot seem to do a batch update with search/replace.

Page URL: https://wp-4aoksdl026.pairsite.com/works/interior-installations/imagine-my-house-holding-the-moon/ (I have not connected the domain name yet)

I have updated to the latest version of URIS ( was using 3.3.3 before the move).

Thanks for any help you can offer (I can redo all the sliders manually, but would rather not).

    Hi @rhenner1,

Login to your admin dashboard and try to WordPress Address and Site Address URL the same as the current domain (https://wp-4aoksdl026.pairsite.com).

    Check screenshot: https://prntscr.com/r5rls3

    Maybe this will fix.

Your slider images also available on the current server:
    https://wp-4aoksdl026.pairsite.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/moon-1.jpg
    https://wp-4aoksdl026.pairsite.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/moon-detail2.jpg

Note: keep the complete backup of the site before making these changes.

    Thanks

Thanks, I’ll play with it over the weekend, after I connect the DNS for the clients domain name.

If I have to, I’ll just rebuild the sliders…

I’ve now linked the site to client’s domain name (www.francescavivenza.com), and made all the database updates using search/replace. The site is working correctly, and all static images are referencing the correct server except for the URIS slideshows still referencing my test server as before.

If I look at a slider in the edit slider window, it is actually showing the correct URL, but if I view the page source for the slider in another browser, it still shows the URL for my test site. The ONLY place this URL still shows in the database is in the GUID field in the wp_posts table, but this is only supposed to be used by RSS feed readers (according to the WP documentation).

Is the GUID field referenced by your plugin, and if so, how can I fix that? Other than manually redoing 18 slide shows

After I rebuilt all the sliders on several client sites to get them working in URIS V3.xx six months ago, I recently noticed that the images are no longer showing in Chrome – the sliders load correctly, but no images are displayed. Other browsers don’t seem to mind yet.

It appears from the error codes that the slider is still referencing the https://69.90xxx files, which are on the same server, but after the site went live, I updated it to HTTPS, and chrome wont allow an HTTPS link to load if the original is an HTTP URL.

Again, the only place I can find the https://69.90xxx reference in the database is in the GUID table. Should I update the GUID table, or is there another way to get the sliders working?
