    Hi,

Odd error. I have Slider Revolution on a site along with Wordfence. Both plugins play nice together apart from one of the pages which has a few sliders on it. Weirdly, if I place 7 sliders on the page, all is fine. Place any more and the page doesn’t load/display properly.

I’ve been through the process of deactivating plugins and it seems Wordfence is having issues with the amount of sliders. If I deactivate it, all sliders (12 of them!) appear fine. Reactivate, and page doesn’t display properly unless there’s 7 or less?!

At a guess, I would say this might be memory related unless you know anything different?

I’ve deactivated Wordfence for now until I can get to the bottom of this but any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

    Andy

    Hi Andy,

It could have been a coincidence of timing. You would need to go through the process several times of deactivating and reactivating Wordfence for stronger evidence that Wordfence is involved.

If after several tests of this and the page only malfunctions when Wordfence is active the look in your Wordfence Live Traffic tool page to see if any firewall blocks are taking place for that URL. If that is the case and you do see firewall blocks then you can use the Whitelist Param from Firewall button and see if that resolves the issue.

If you don’t see any firewall blocks you can use the troubleshooting guide here to see if there are any JavaScript errors or any site assets not loading properly:

    https://www.wordfence.com/help/advanced/troubleshooting/#how-to-inspect-the-browser-console

You can also look in your PHP error logs for clues as long as your hosting provider hasn’t disabled PHP error reporting and PHP error logging.

Please let me know how it proceeds.

    Hi Phil,

Apologies for the delay in replying. Happy new year btw!

OK, I’ve been through all of your recommendations above to no avail unfortunately. The only thing left to try, is looking at the PHP logs to see if it’s a possible memory error which seems the likely culprit.

I will let you know once the hosting company have forwarded them on to me.

    Kind regards,
    Andy

    Hi,

Since I haven’t heard back from you I am assuming that the instructions solved your issue so I am marking this topic as resolved.

If however, for whatever reason, you are still experiencing this issue and it is not resolved please respond to the post, which moves it back up the queue, and mark this topic as “not resolved”.

    Thank you.
