Slider problem with Firefox and Safari

My site has a slider on the Home page (Nautilus from Viva Themes), and it works fine from Internet Explorer. From Firefox and Safari the (5) pictures seem to load and display the first one momentarily and then it is blanked (or covered up). I think they are continuing to operate (go from picture to picture) but none are displayed. All other pages work fine (they have no sliders).

Any suggestions as to what is causing this problem and how to resolve it? I am a newbie. I have not edited any of the standard code, just added the theme and three plugins (Custom Forms 7, Quick Page/Post Redirect and W3 Total Cache). I disabled all three but that had no effect on slider operation.
