Slider on home page dissapeared after upgrading to Customizr 3.3.23

  • Hi All,

    Experiencing problems with sliders on the home pages of my site (multilingual, English & French).

    Site worked fine before I upgraded Customizr to version 3.3.23 but now, even though the slider shows as being there when I edit my home pages, when publishing it and visualizing my site, sliders don’t show.

    FYI, when I go into Customizr’s customize setting, home page is selected but, before you tell me to set up my slider there I can’t, as my site is multilingual (EN & FR). I use Polylang to switch languages and control the sliders.

    Lastly, this is happening only on my home pages. All other pages with a slider on them work fine.

    Anyone else experiencing this or a similar problem? If so, any ideas on how to solve it?

    Until I can figure out what the problem is or someone on this forum can tell me what I’m doing wrong, I reverted back to Customizr version 3.3.20 which works fine.

    Hello,
    the home page slider has to be set in Appearance -> Customize -> Content .. -> Front Page , so we have to tell you that! ??

    Then, since this theme supports Polylang, you can go in polylang’s strings translation and associate a different slider for each language.

    Hope this helps.

    p.s.
    the reason why 3.3.20 shown you the slider you set in the page was due to a bug, it shouldn’t.

    Thank-you for the reply d4z_c0nf. I actually tried that numerous times and it didn’t work. That’s why I reverted back from Customizr 3.3.23 to version 3.3.20 which works fine

    As far as the theme being compatible with Polylang, I have to start a new thread on this as, when I reach a certain number of pages in the string translations, it keeps loosing them for whatever reason.

    I cannot reproduce the polylang issue with the slider, works fine here.
    About the polylang issue with a large number or page, dunno, is related to this theme?

    I think I need to uninstall Polylang and reinstall it to be honest d4z_c0nf.

    Right now, I have 5 pages of string translations. Everything works fine when I translate strings in the 1st 3 pages BUT, as soon as I go to the 4th page and save the changes. BOOM, all translations are lost and everything reverted back to defaults.

    Could also be due to an incompatibility with other plug-ins I’m using such as Visual Form Builder, Ultimate Product Catalog or Profile Builder Hobbyist mind you.

    Something I need to look into. IN the mean time, I used a manual method to solve that problem
