    Unfortunately there’s no an immediate solution to this problem. polyfill converts the background image into an <image> element, which would cause incompatibilities with the source code. For now, I would suggest you to upload the background image with the exact height in px and center the background writing “center” in the text boxes “background position x” and “background position y”.

    Thanks Fabiorino. I ended up using -ms-filter and filter and setting sizingMethod=scale. I have to specify the source for each individual slide in custom styles for each slider, but it works in IE8 (tested), so all good. Again, great slider. Soooooo easy to use. Love it.
