Slider not displaying

  • I had been using the Grid for featured content and decided to switch to the Slider. In the preview when customizing the theme the Slider is displayed and updates when I change settings. When I Save and Publish the Slider is not displayed when viewing the site. I have emptied all caches on the site and my web browser, and viewed on different computers. Switching back to Grid displays featured content properly.

    WordPress 3.9 and the Ridizain 1.0.33 theme are all up to date. No child themes in use.

    Could I have a link to the site with slider enabled so that I can have a look and see if I can figure out the issue and possibly give you a solution?

    Could I ask you to disable the cache/minification plugin and then check on the site if the slider appears?

    With the CSS/JS minified I’m unable to decipher if the right CSS classes are being output correctly and if the JS output is in the right place.

    With the Javascript minification disabled, the slider does show up.

    I am using the W3 Total Cache plugin. The HTML/XML and CSS minification don’t seem to impact the slider. I tried different combinations of the Minify/Combine Only options under the JS minification, but they all seem to interfere with the slider.

    Is this something you want to look into further, or should I contact the W3 Total Cache developers at this point?

    Does the plugin give you the option to exclude certain scripts from being minified and combined?

    If the minified/combined file is loaded out of place in relation to defendant script then it will interfere with the theme’s functionality.

    It may be worth your while to get in touch with the plugin author for advice and options.
