slider malfunction

    Hi, is there a shortcode for the slider that you use on your homepage? I had an image saved from a previous layout, and I can’t find a way to reformat/recreate the slider. I put in a slideshow gallery as a placeholder.

    Also – once I create these pages, how do I prevent them from showing up on the top of the homepage? In a different theme, I was able to make the pages private, but then it looks like the customizer can’t find them either.

    Hello nerdydadfoods,

    Follow the below steps:

    For Hompage setup:
    ========================

    1. Go to Dashboard >> Pages >> Add New Page, name it “home” then select template “custom home” from template dropdown.

    2. Go to Settings >> Reading >> Set the front page display static page to home page.

    For Slider:
    ================

    1. Go to Dashboard >> Pages >> Add New, Enter Title and Set its featured image and publish it. Repeat the step for more slider pages.

    2. Go to Dashboard >> Appearance >> Customizer >> Theme setting >> Slider setting, select the slider pages and click twice the Show/hide slider checkbox and publish it.
