• hello
As the title of the post implies, the slider is gone after the update of WordPress to version 6.
What happened, and how can it be brought back?
I could only solve it by loading version 5.8.4 of WordPress.
It does not work in versions 5.8.4 and later.
Also, why haven’t you released a new update in a long time?

Thanks in advance for the help.

  • Hi

Cache plugin : if you use a server cache or cache plugin, clear it’s cache content and disable caching via it’s settings.
Check for plugin conflict : Install the WP official Health check plugin. Activate the troubleshooting mode. Then deactivate all of your plugins. If it fixes the issue, re-activate your plugins one by one, until you identify the plugin in conflict.

    Best wishes

    hi amirzia

I did all the things you said in the past. But also I did it all over again, but unfortunately, it didn’t work.
Apparently, there is no interference with any of the plugins.
I use “child theme” and even disable the child theme changes but it(slider) does not work.
It should be noted that when I select only one post from the appearance > Customization to display, the slider appears and is displayed correctly.

    Please fix this problem

    regards

Other users have reported the same problem earlier, i.e. featured post with slide show does not work anymore – see this thread.

Hopefully the theme author will take a closer look at it.

There are also other issues with Hueman, for example 1) this issue with featured images and Safari, 2) this potential issue with missing categories, date, author, and 3) this confirmed bug relating to links to “Next story” when viewing the most recent blog post.

Hueman has not been updated since December last year, so an update would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi again.
Sorry, it is very bad that you don’t give any response!
I see other posts in this support that were answered by the theme author a few days ago!
Please review and reply to this item

    Thanks

This is more challenging to resolve than a simple answer or solution because it is an issue that 1) not everybody is experiencing and 2) users who are experiencing it are experiencing it under different conditions.
We are looking at a solution and hope to be able to release a patch. It is currently number 2 on our backlog, and we are shipping the #1 item on our backlog tomorrow. Hopefully I will be able to have a solution once we dig into it tomorrow.
As stated in the OP, there is a temporary work around of using the previous version of WP. Hope to have an answer for you in the next week about how we can address a solution that works for you and others in WP 6.0.
    Thanks.

@hanyseyedy: Did the recent Hueman update (ver. 3.7.21) fix the slider problem for you?

The update have only one “fix”, but it is, in fact, related to the slider (in Safari):

Fixed : post featured slider in safari browser

I had to disable lazy loading, i.e. the “Load images on scroll” setting in Hueman, in order to avoid problems with missing featured images on both the front page and on posts/pages (details here). I have not yet tried the new update because I need to translate the text strings to Norwegian first.
