    Thank you for the question.

    When switching to a child theme, the WordPress system identifies it as a separate theme based on the unique theme’s folder name. That’s why the settings under customizer you have made are no longer showing with your new active theme.

    So you’ll need to redo the settings manually. Or follow this instruction for quicker solution:

    1. Switch back to Sydney main theme.
    2. Export the settings with Customizer Export/Import plugin.
    3. Edit the exported file to find the folder name, rename it to exactly match with your child theme’s one.
    4. Re-enable your child theme and import the settings file.
