    Hi. Thanks for the theme–it’s brilliant.

    I don’t have much experience with PHP, but would like to replace the header image with a slider (from a plugin: WOW Slider). My plugin outputs a PHP code of:

    <?php wowslider(1); ?>

    I gather I need to enter this code somewhere in header.php. But where exactly? And should I comment anything out at the same time? Lastly, do I need to edit anything else (e.g.CSS)?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi cag8f,

    I’m afraid there’s no easy way to integrate a header slider with Hemingway. Since the header fills the entire width of the browser window and the proportions of it are variable, pretty extensive changes would have to be made both to the PHP and to the CSS (esp. if it’s going to work on mobile).

    OK thanks for that. I think you’re saying that, because the theme is responsive, changing the header image to a slider is difficult. If so, is this something I can expect from most (or all?) responsive themes?

    That’s one part of it, but the other thing is that Hemingway has a full-width header section with a background image, two factors (full width/background image) that most slider plugins have a hard time dealing with. A responsive theme with a fixed width header image element should be easier to use with a slider.

    OK good to know. Thanks for your time.
