    Hi @grodanboll, it’s possible you downloaded the update before the update had been fully transferred to www.remarpro.com. Try re-installing it again in a couple of minutes ??

    When I did “update” my slider broke, but when I deleted it and added it again, the slider was fine. Not sure what is happening with the update option, but it didn’t work on two of my sites.

    ok. but how? do I have to download it and install manually?

    Actually, 5 sites that I updated the plugin didn’t work. But reinstalling it does. I’ve got a lot of clients with Easing Slider, I hope the update starts working!

    Yes ?? Simply uninstall it from the WordPress admin, then install it again. Try again in a couple of hours – still lots of work going on!

    So far, deleting and reinstalling worked on 3 sites, but 3 sites are still messed up. I’ve deleted and reinstalled several times.

    Hi @sumy, likely the same issue here. All updates have only just been fully uploaded and ready for use in the last 15 minutes.

    Any luck? Can you describe what’s happening? Link to some examples would be awesome too I’ll have a quick look ??

    Hi, thanks for the great plugin!

    I updated it today tho and can’t reactive it now

    “Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC in /home/content/64/8899764/html/wp-content/plugins/easing-slider/easing-slider.php on line 138″

    Hi Matthew. Thanks for a great plugin and for great support. I’ve gotten the plugin up and running on one site, but the second site I attempted to update on gave me the same error as severemma.

    I’ve tried deactivating all other plugins and removing the plugin and reinstalling.

    Also thought I might mention that on the site that it works on, I am getting an odd behavior. The plugin made several default sliders named Easing Slider “Lite.” Since there is no pagination feature, I cannot tell how many of these it created.

    Thanks for pointing this out guys. I know what’s wrong and I’m going to release a fix for it tonight as v2.2.0.1. It’s related to your host using less than PHP 5.3.

    @ryan, there is a pagination feature in the “All Sliders” panel, so if you’re not seeing it then there is only one page to display, which means it has created less than 20. I’d imagine this is related to the error you’re seeing which will be fixed tonight! ??

    After update to 2.2, I have noticed some strange behavior related to Easing Slider. Detail is given as under:

    1. Plugin made few default, but empty sliders named Easing Slider “Lite”.
    2. Tried to delete default sliders but unable to do so.
    3. My slider is no more available in the backend.
    4. Stream report page is flooded by lot of activities. Stream report page screen shot
    5. Few entries contain unknown Author and IP address (74.86.158.109).
    6. More than 90% entries are “Easing Slider “Lite”” sliders updated.
    7. Within few minutes, the “Easing Slider “Lite”” sliders updated entry crossed 500+ in numbers.

    I have uninstalled this version and revert back to the old one (easing-slider.2.1.4.3). Now everything is normal like before.

    Server settings:
    PHP Version 5.4.33
    MySQL Version 5.5.40-cll
    WordPress Version 4.1

    I took a look at my log in Securi Security plugin.. looks like I am having a similar problem to logichub. Every 3-5 seconds Easing Slider appears to be posting a new slider automatically.

    “Post state changed from private to published. Id: 13465, Name: Easing Slider "Lite"” is repeated every 3-5 seconds with a new Id # on my changelog.

    Already up to Id: 13465. First Id from this morning I saw was 7700. So if it posting in sequence then the plugin has published 5765 pages so far and counting.

    I will re-install an older version and then update to the newer version once you update it (probably tomorrow morning) and let you know if the problem persists.

    This is very weird, I’ve no idea what is occurring and can’t replicate it at all.

    What plugins are you’s using? Does this issue persist when Easing Slider is the only active plugin (would it be possible to try this)?

    I’m releasing the update in relation to the bug posted by @severemma now. It may also resolve this issue for you – I’m unsure.

    If anyone experiencing this issue is competent enough with PHPmyadmin, could you let me know if the option named easingslider_upgraded_from_lite has a value of true in the wp_options table? If this is false or this option doesn’t exist, it indicates that the upgrade process has failed at some point and is continuously looping, hence a new slider being created on every page load. Ouch!

    Apologies for the inconvenience caused. Hard to fix a bug that I’ve not encountered myself, despite testing on dozens of online and offline environments. Always some edge cases! None the less, sorry all! Working on figuring it ??

    I am using Stream (https://wp-stream.com/):

    Real-time tracking for the WordPress Admin
    Stream tracks every action in WordPress and takes the guess-work out of troubleshooting.

    As I stated in the last post, I have already downgraded to easing-slider.2.1.4.3. I have following values in the DB:

    option_name = easingslider_upgraded_from_lite
    option_value = 1
    autoload = yes

    (@matthewruddy)

    HI @logichub, thanks. I’ve tried using Stream on my local machine, but I’m actually encountering errors with it which is preventing me from using it (unrelated and unfortunate).

    I’ve just pushed another fix, v2.2.0.2, which has some updates in relation to what you’re mentioning. There was a mistake in the code for users who had previously using v1+ of Easing Slider “Lite”, then upgraded to v2+, then lastly upgraded to the new v2.2.

    In short, our long term users.

    This new fix may resolve the issue you’re having ??
