Slider Image

currently the slider just shows the top left corner of a post. It does not change if i change the dimensions either…

Currently, I can see two images from 3 post (one with no image).
For me, I can see them just fine. Although the image from “Teaching English in Thailand: Salary” isn’t the best quality but I guess this is not the issue.
Did you changed the slider size via the “Custom CSS” or do you use a child theme?

i changed it via custom css. My problem is that the featured image I have selected for “teaching english in thailand: salary” is showing the top of the original image. It is not showing the image that I have cropped. The part showing is the top unfocused part of the original image.

Is there a way to find out what dimensions I need for the picture or what ratio?

Can you past your custom CSS here and post the link?
For my understanding, you changed the ratio of the slider in your CSS?! You should be able to see your new ration in the css you wrote.

The ratio is for the columns. 75% and 25%

#primary {
width: 75%;
}
#secondary {
width: 25%;
}

i dont know the new ratio for the slider though

Ok so I measured it with the Windows Magnifier tool and a desktop Ruler. Maybe this sounds a bit strange but it worked for me all the time and are pretty useful tools ??
Your slider ration is 685 x 305. Try it out and tell me if it worked ??

Oh and btw, I for my self use the Featured Image size from the theme it self, which is 730 x 330 and it works just fine ??

no its still showing a part of the picture that is no longer in the image I have specified. Maybe it is having issues uploading.

It is showing part of the picture BEFORE i edited the image….

If you click on that article through the slider you can see the picture that is supposed to be coming up. Why is it different than the image showing in the slider
