    Hi @nextendweb_gabor

    My IE Edge version:
    Microsoft Edge 44.18362.1.0

    Hi @hirenwebs

I checked your site in the following Edge:
    Microsoft Edge 44.17763.1.0
    Microsoft EdgeHTML 18.17763

And I was able to start the video.

Are you on Windows 1903 already? I haven’t updated yet, but if it’s your Windows version I’ll update later today to be able to test this.

    Hi @nextend_ramona

    Yes I’m using Windows 1903.

    Please update the code.

    Thanks.

    Hi @hirenwebs

We’ve just updated two computers in our office to 1903 to check the problem. The YouTube video played in both just fine.

Do you have any browser extensions? Can you try disabling them to see if they interfere?

Do you see anything in your browser’s console? You should press F12 to open it, then refresh the page and try starting the video.
If you see any errors there, please send me a screenshot where I could see them.

    Hi @hirenwebs

The JavaScript error I currently see in both your screenshot and in my console, is related to the following code:
    jQuery('#txtsocial').mask('000-00-0000');

Please comment that code part out or temporary remove it for testing purposes.
Once it is done, you need to hard refresh the page ( Ctrl+F5 on Windows ). If the problem still persists, please check the console if an error shows up when you click on the video to start it.

If you can not see any errors, I see you are using an optimizing plugin, so what you could try next is temporarily disabling your Autoptimize plugin, and check the results again.

Please let us know, if any of these helped?

pro-tip; you can disable Autoptimize on a per-request basis by adding ?ao_noptimize=1 to the URL.

if the problem is not there at that point, some autoptimize (re-)configuration might be needed to fix this. there are troubleshooting tips and info on how to exclude in the AO FAQ.

    hope this helps debugging,

    Hi @laszloszalvak & @optimizingmatters

I have removed jQuery code and Autoptimize plugin has been configured yesterday.

Video is not working earlier as well.

I have deactivated Autooptimize plugin but issue same as it’s video is not working ??

Please refer new screenshot for your review.

    Hi @hirenwebs

Unfortunately we couldn’t reproduce this problem on any computers in our office, so I am sorry you will need to check a couple more things, to find out what may cause the problem. So:

    Does this problem occur –

    • with the Vimeo layer, too?
    • if you publish the slider to a new and completely empty page?
    • if you download a fresh, default WordPress theme ( like Twenty Nineteen -that has no custom codes ) and check the results in that.
    • if you check the results within a “New InPrivate window” – by default: Ctrl+Shift+P
    • If you select the “Mute” at the Volume of the YouTube layer.

Also could you tell us if you interact the video via mouse click or probably a touch device?

    Hi @laszloszalvak ,

YouTube slider added to the home page.

    Interacting video via mouse click.

    Hi @hirenwebs,
I’m sorry, but we have tested on multiple Windows with the mentioned Edge version and we were unable to reproduce the issue. Were you able to try it on different computers, if yes what was the result?
Maybe you could try to repair/reset your Edge as it might help, here is how to do it: https://malwaretips.com/blogs/reset-microsoft-edge/

Also I created a screencast for you: https://youtu.be/G79GN0NO4Ww
It contains how to repair/reset Edge, the version what I used for testing and also you will see that the video plays fine for us.

    Thanks @nextendweb

IE Edge > Windows Media Player Installed now video started playing.

You can close this ticket ??

@hirenwebs, thank you for the feedback. We always learn something new about Microsoft Edge! ??

For others: Windows has Windows 10N and 10KN versions which comes without media features. These media features are required for Edge to play YouTube videos. You can download the Media Feature Pack from Microsoft: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48231
