Slider gone upon return

If you navigate away from the home page and then hit the “home” link in the navigation, the slider is gone- If you hit the logo though to return to the page the slider is there… Im stumped..
I modified this theme and took out the original slider & added a new one..

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated ; >
