slider doesn't work

I have three problems actually:
(1) one testimonial only occupies one third of the page’s width and I have no idea why
(2) the whole testimonial is displayed. If the customer wrote a long text, I should be able to select the max number of characters to be displayed. Is there such a setting ?
(3) The pagination doesn’t work in my case. I have two testimonials. When I click the next page, the same testimonial is displayed as in page 1.
