Slider disappears from time to time

  • I’m working on a new website locally with xampp. I love the customizr theme. I’m almoste done. But today, the sliders disappeared twice. I had to go trough all images and chose again the slider. The slider definitions, the names, had gone.

    Actually I lost the slider on the start page and in one category again. When I check through the images for the start slider, they all seems to be okay, the start slider is chosen.

    The only thing I’ve done (as I remember ;)), I played arround with CSS in the backend. But that should not have any impact.

    Can anyone help? I need to finish until friday, but when I loose the sliders, I have to change the theme.

    I’m sorry. The site is only local so far. I installed xampp. The theme version is 3.1.5 and I use a child theme.

    I try to explain very short, what happend several times:
    Suddenly, there are no slider definitions anymore. The pictures in media are still added to a slider, but at the bottom of the page, there is no slider defined, I only could create one.

    Since it happend last night again, I created a slider start and added two pictures. But they don’t show.

    I’m going to delete all pictures on the server now and restart uploading them. Could that help?

    it might be related to a plugin conflict or may be permissions on your server files in wp-content/uploads?
    hard to say without seeing the site. Keep us informed please.

    I disabled all plugins and checked permissions, no result. Therefore I installed the website on my server online. It works so far more or less. I get an error message: the theme customizr is missing a template. I downloaded twice the normal way. Do you have any idea?

    I also wanted to install my child theme. Here as well an error message, that I have to install the parent theme, which was not only installed already, it was the active theme too.
    So for the moment I don’t work with a child theme. I had only some minor css changes so far.

    I also have a problem with the slider. I have only a start slider with two images. It is not possible to change the images by clicking on the arrows right or left. In this case, the page just moves slightly up.
