    Thanks for the feedback – will have to think about this as it is quite a lot of work to change the code for 15+ themes ??

    I think creating many themes is awkward.

    It is better to make one theme, and improve it, develop it.
    For the theme you can make several design options (templates, which can be switched in settings).

    Example theme OceanWP.

    This is just my point of view.
