Slider broke after update

I have the same problem ?? I think we just have to backup and wait until they fix this bug

Exactly what I did. Hope a fix comes soon, else I suppose it wouldn’t matter..Theme is still working fine

Slider is not Broken.

Due to new wordpress rules, we have to shift to customizer.
So, you will have to set up Slider again via Dashboard > Appearance > Customizer.

Hi Rohit! I caught on to the move to the customiser, but even then, I activated it and it didn’t show up. Also hiding text for the header to replace with logo also buggy..

I have exactly the same, activated the customizer, activated it but nothing shows, no way to get my slider(s) on screen…

I’ve rolled back to before the update. Waiting for a fix.

The solution is quite simple:

Replace in the themefile “slider.php” the command “is_home” with “is_front_page”.

In that case when a page is selected as front page, the slider is displayed again.
