Do you have a portfolio category yet? If not make a category called like “Sliders” and then add the slides posts to this category. Then under “Theme Options” under the general tab there is a heading that says like “Portfolio” under this put the “Sliders” category as the portfolio category, then check the box that says “exclude portfolio category from main loop”
