    Hi,

    glad you like the theme.

To create your own slides all you need to do is create a new post where the Featured Image field (located in the right sidebar of the post) is the slide image. Any text you enter into the WYSIWYG editor will appear over the slide. So if you leave this empty you will just see an image.

Once you’ve added an image and possibly some text assign it to a new category such as “Slider”. This category is used to filter out the slide-specific posts from the blog posts.

Then you need to go to the Theme options page (Appearance > Customize) and click the “Slider” option. This is where you can enter the name of the post category that you created to use for slide posts (eg. Slider). This will tell the slider from which categories it should select it’s posts, as well as exclude all posts in this category from the blog.

    Hope this helps!

    Yes this is great info.

Is there a Timer for the Slider to automatically move?

This is a killer theme by the way, thanks

    Glad you like the theme!

Currently there’s no option to set the slider to autoscroll but I do intend to add this in the not too distant future.

    Hi,
When we can have autoscroll for this slider? I think it would be very useful. Maybe, could you give us some advices how we can do this on our own?
By the way, theme is very nice! ??

    Hi @banlukster,

    glad you like the theme!

An autoscroll option for the slider has been added to the premium version of the theme if you’re interested in upgrading.

Oh, my bad! I didn’t catch it! ??
I am happy owner of oceanic premium theme. Now, there is everything what I need. Thank you very much! ??

Perhaps I’m being thick…but where is this autoscroll option found?

    Hi @rgfsystems

you’ll find it under Appearance > Customize > Slider. It’s the “Slideshow” option.

I have no such option, have just updated to the premium, version 10.0.9. The only option in that location is to choose “Default Slider,” “Meta Slider” (another plugin), or “None.” No other settings on that page.

    Hi @rgfsystems

The latest version of the premium theme is 10.0.14. Do you not see that update available on the updates page of your WordPress admin?

Well that would do it. I didn’t see the update earlier today (I even checked before asking you again) but now it’s there sure enough. Thanks!

    @rgfsystems Great stuff!

That did it. For future reference….when you buy premium and it takes you to the download page. It sorts 10.0.9 before the others because 9 after everything else. If you used 10.0.09, 10.0.08, etc instead of 10.0.9, 10.0.8, it would show the latest first assuming you never exceed 99 iterations. That was my error – I assume that the version showing was latest, which was reinforced by a cursory glance because 10.0.8 was next, then 10.0.7. I didn’t look far enough down the list to see the .10, .11, etc. versions.

Anyway, thanks for the help, all fixed now.

Hi! I managed to create my own slides…but it′s only appearing on the Home-Page…how can I add the same slide images to the further sites of my main menu? Thanks in advance for some tipps ??

The instructions here did not create any slides for my site.
