Slide text not changing on mobile

    Hi,

    I love Smart Slider!

    However, from day 1 when I installed it, on mobile devices when scrolling between slides, the slide text doesn’t change.

    The slide backgrounds and the read “More” buttons work as expected. Just the slide text isn’t scrolling. It only shows the text from the first slide.

    I have tried reordering the slides. Same problem.

    It only shows the text from slide 1.

    Please help.

    I checked the linked page and what I currently see is that you have a slider with 3 slides. And actually you have the same text added to all 3 slides.

    Fate Whispers to the Warrior
“A Storm Is Coming”
And The Warrior Whispers Back
“I Am The Storm”

    So if you would like to change these texts, then you should open all 3 slides one by one, and in the Text Layer that you have added there: https://smartslider.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1832-text-layer
    you should replace the text with the text that you would like to display only on that slide.

    Note:
    If you actually work with dynamic slides:
    https://smartslider.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1725-dynamic-slide-basics
    then make sure you don’t enter the text manually, otherwise all the dynamic slides will display the same text. Instead you need to insert the variable that contains the details that you want to display there. ( Probably the “title” variable – https://smartslider.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1891-wordpress-posts-generator )

    Thank you for the quick reply.

    However, your observation is incorrect.

    If you view the site on a desktop, the slides show the correct text.

    All 3 have different text each.

    It’s not changing the text ONLY on mobile devices when scrolling between slides.

    As I stated, the slide backgrounds and the button links do change.

    It’s just the text not working on mobile.

    Sorry, I just found the “Mobile text” section in the designer.

    Just updated those.

    I didn’t notice in the designer you could specify different text for desktop, tablet and mobile.

    I’ll owe you a beer for this one my friend.

    Yes, if you enable those options then the Text Layer can have different input fields for the different devices.

    Just in case I also checked your page on mobile view, and I can confirm it displays the corresponding text now. I am glad you managed to fix the problem!
