• Before 2.6, when I duplicated a product, the SKU was carried over and I could see it and then I could update it with the correct SKU (incrementally, in my case).

In 2.6 / 2.6.1 the SKU field in the duplicated product is empty and I have to fill it in. It is not a big hassle to go back and look at what the prior SKU was and then amend it – but it was easier to use when I could see the number in the duplicated product.

As you know SKU must be unique. Copying it over was causing duplicates, as modifying the field is optional.

OK, I see. It’s a balance between convenience and error. I can live with it. Thanks

Yup ?? There are action hooks should you wish to customise with code, but you’ll need to delve into WC core code to see them.
