Skip VAT validation for selected countries not working

  • Hi,
    If a client from my own country (country of my shop, France) enters its VAT Number, I’d like the VAT control to be skipped (displayed price stay the same).

    For this I entered FR next to the field ‘Skip VAT validation for selected countries’ in ‘Validation and progress’ tab but it’s not working. The system controls the VAT is OK and displays price without tax which is not what I want.

    Could you see what’s going on please ?

    Hello @antoine69

    The skip validation function here will treat all VATs as valid, which I don’t think is what you want, what you need is the option in 2nd tab “Preserve VAT in selected countries” and select Base (store) Country, which is a Pro version feature.
