Skip posts if their data in your file has not changed

To begin, I acknowledge the use of hashes for each import, enabling the verification of data changes. When this setting is enabled, items are skipped. However, in my situation, the import feed contains a category that may remain unchanged. I’ve implemented a custom function with category mappings stored in a dedicated table. This function generates new category hierarchies that require updating. Is there a way to address this issue? The extended duration of some feeds, lasting over 6 hours due to a large product count of approximately 7,000, adds urgency to finding a solution.
