    Hi

I notice that you’ve introduced support for ‘skip-lazy’ and ‘data-skip-lazy’. Would it be possible to say something about the thinking behind this?

The background to my question is that W3TC have also just released an update which among other things:

Improved lazyload by not processing elements with skip-lazy class or data-skip-lazy attribute

At the moment I have a ‘no-lazy-load’ class; it sounds like I should change to ‘skip-lazy’, but I’m curious about what the advantages would be.

Thanks for all your work on the plugin!

    Hey @andymiller,

Would it be possible to say something about the thinking behind this?

    Of course!
Frank Goossens, the developer of Autoptimize, came up with the idea to add a consistent solution for excluding media from lazy loading across different performance and lazy loading plugins, and reached out to several devs of such plugins with the idea. Consent was to use the class skip-lazy and the attribute data-skip-lazy, and that is the story behind it ??

    Florian
