Hi there, I’ve been getting email notifications about 403, 429, 522 errors. Will it be possible to set the plugin to only send email when there is a “red marked” broken link? thank you.

    Hi @suitesmile

    I hope you’re well today!

All these HTTP codes mean that at the moment of checking, given URL was not available (access was forbidden for checking bot, request was rejected due to “Too many requests” detected, request timed out – accordingly) so “technically speaking” they all appear broken.

The difference is that such statuses can be considered “temporary” (hence they are not “red” but “orange”). Still though, they are considered “broken at the moment of being tested”.

Currently there’s no option in the plugin for detailed configuration of these notifications – they can either be switched on or off but nothing “in-between”. Unfortunately, I’m afraid there’s no hooks (filters) built-in in plugin code currently that would let us customize it via some additional code snippet too.

It would require changes in plugin code so I’ve already passed this over to our developers as a future feature request. I don’t have ETA, though.

    Kind regards
    Adam
