Skin files contain PHP rendering issues

The latest version, at least, has PHP formatting errors in the skin files. Two are missing closing ?> tags and two have trailing white space. These were causing display issues on my site. I have since cleaned up the files, but can these formatting issues be fixed in future updates please?
config.php – trailing white space
filters.php – needs closing ?>
skin.php – needs closing ?>
skin.css – trailing white space
