Size of image for fullwidth page?

  • Thanks for this amazing theme!
    I want to buy the pro version but as a very beginner at WordPress, I meet some difficulties: when I use the “fullwidth page”option for my page and I add a picture, I got a stretched picture.
    Which size do we have to take to avoid this problem?

    Are you referring to the background image in header section? If so, I would recommend using a picture at least 1200px-1600px in width to maintain clarity on larger screens/resolutions.

    It doesn’t matter what width of image I use between 1200 and 1600 pixels, the height of the image still gets chopped in half — even if I make it a really small height. Is there a standard size that will always work?

    The slider and header sections in Sensible Pro, like many themes, uses the background-size: cover CSS property. This takes an image and fills the space no matter what the dimensions are, which almost always results in some cropping.

    I would try selecting a picture where the focal point is toward the top, or cropping your image in a photo editing program to change your focal point.
