Size of a single character rendered slightly smaller than normal

  • Hi Pavel. Just notice that when a single character is wrapped around $ $ (as in $1$, $\infty$ or $\Box$), those symbols are rendered slightly smaller than the same characters produced by $-1$, $+\infty$, or $x \to \Box$. Seems like a LaTeX autosizing thing that’s being done automatically.
