Sitewide tags indexing issue!

Google might consider it as a duplicate content. isn’t it quiet risky to use this plugin? or is there any fix?

I know, but the problem is the TAG site itself generating a separate page for each article/content, which can easily be crawled by Google.
For example, if you publish one article on realsite.yourdomain.com (realsite.yourdomain.com/article), it will automatically be published on tags.yourdomain.com. Now if you open tags.yourdomain.com (home) and click on that article, you will be redirected to the real site(realsite.yourdomain.com/article). BUT you will be having another hidden page (tags.yourdomain.com/article) without any backlink of that original article. you can check this by typing manually.
In my case, Google crawled few of those hidden pages instead of the original one.

@wptesting – there is a checkbox in the SWT settings to turn search engine indexing of the tags blog off.

If you are worried about duplicate content on the search engines turn the indexing OFF.

is there anyway to hide subsites content but have google find the full content on the main blog instead?

so visitors use the main site rather than the individual blogs within?

Turn search engines off on all the sub sites and have them enabled on the main site.

one other important question, before i do as you suggested, i would need a way to prevent swt from forwarding visitors to the subsites on each pulled post – in other words as the site wide tags plugin duplicates the content from subsites and links the content to the pages it pulled it from, how would one go about adapting the site wide tags plugin to not forward visitors to the subsites and instead direct them to the main pages archive/blog instead?

this ofcourse wouldnt be against googles search rules as we have already disabled search results for all subsites..

So … you have multiple sites, all of which are accessed off the main site?

Why do you need multiple sites then?

Prolly to get the SEO benefits from all the sites in his network?

There’s no SEO benefit for that. There’s no LOSS either, mind you, but you don’t get anything extra.

Did you ever get a solution to adapting the site wide tags plugin to not forward visitors to the sub-sites? For what I am doing this is really important. And yes, I DO need multisites. Thanks in advance.
