    Hi –
I just updated the Widgets Bundle plugin to Version 1.17.1.
I had a rectangle button with text inside that linked to another page. The rectangle button/shape disappeared. The text and link still work – but style is wrong. Is this a dead plugin?

Many thanks for your thoughts and guidance.

    I am on WP 5.4.2 – PHP 7.3

    Hi Frank

Dead plugins don’t release updates. I’m not sure why you’d ask that. You can find the changelog for this release here. Lots of ongoing work.

Please, send a link to the page concerned and we’ll take a look.

Thanks Andrew. Yeah – I did not think it was dead but…

Here a link to our test site:

    https://pagconcepts.com
    It is the line/link:
    BRACH EICHLER’S COVID-19 RESOURCE CENTER
(it should be inside a red rectangle)

See this link for how it should look (we did not update the plugin here):

    THANKS!

Hi Frank, we’ve found the issue. Apologies for the hassle and for my grumpy reply, we’ll release an update tomorrow to resolve the problem. A fix for this issue was accidentally omitted from this release. I thought I had pulled it in and I didn’t. I’ve prepared a beta release for you to use now. You can find this ZIP file here. Once the ZIP file is on your desktop (must be in ZIP format, not unzipped), go to Plugins and deactivate and delete the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle. No data will be lost. Next, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP file on your desktop, upload and activate.

The alternative is to use WP Rollback plugin to rollback to the previous version until we release an update tomorrow.

Sorry again for the hassle, thanks for letting us know.

    No worries – lol!
    Thanks for the speedy reply.
Since these are “test sites” I can wait for the new update for the live site.
(I have not done any updates with the live site). So perhaps I can hold off a bit on installing the beta release to the test sites.
    Appreciate your expertise. Stay healthy!

Hi Gianluca, thanks for reaching out and for your kind words. The Widgets Bundle update will be released within WordPress and appear at Dashboard > Updates. For the moment, you could consider using WP Rollback to switch back to Widgets Bundle version 1.17.0. If you have any follow-up questions, please, let us know.

ok I’ll wait for the dashboard update.
    Thanks.

    Hi Andrew-

Thanks for your Support the other day.
We updated the plugin on our live site and all is functioning properly!

Another question – not sure if you know the answer.

I am using the Site Origin Accordion Widget on this existing site. I may need greater design / font flexibility and was looking into the SiteOrigin Premium.

If I update to the premium license – will it automatically replace / update the non premium plugin (and keep the functionality)? I do not want to have to adjust other SiteOrigin functions.

Hope you do not mind my asking.

Thanks and have a nice weekend!

    Hi Frank

Thanks for the update, I’m glad to hear all is well now ??

SiteOrigin Premium is a separate plugin with addons that can be enabled or disabled as required. Existing content or settings won’t be impacted and you won’t have to uninstall plugins you currently have installed.

    Have a great weekend too!
