The SiteOrigin Headline widget is showing many errors.

The entire heading missing, basically, it’s not rendered at all on the published page.

These problems have cropped up since the last two updates.

In some cases, despite selecting Divider=NONE, and purging all cached pages, a divider line still shows up.

I also checked that the Siteorigin widget bundle and made sure all the widgets were active. Problems persist.

Is there a BUG with the SiteOrigin Headline?
    Please advice.

    Hi

    Thanks for reaching out.

There aren’t any issues with the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle Headline Widget that we’re aware of. Please, send a link to the page concerned and we’ll take a look.

The Siteorigin headlines does not always render in the combined page, made up of 4 distinct pages.

The following ‘sub’ menu page shows the headline “TARALTEC? FITMENT RESOURCES”
    https://taraltec.com/resources/taraltec-fitment-resources/

This same ‘sub’ page is inserted with other pages using the plugin ‘Insert Pages’ to create a master combined page ‘Films & Resources’
    https://taraltec.com/resources/
You will note that the heading “TARALTEC? FITMENT RESOURCES” headline is missing on this master page.

If you click on the sub menu page ‘Media Resources’ under ‘Films & Resources’
    https://taraltec.com/resources/media-resources/
You will note the “Media Resources” headline is missing as well in the combined page.

You will also note dividers are appearing, but none were input.

I have deleted and put in the Siteorigin Headline widget and added the heading, updated each page, and purged all cache.

    The rendering error persists.

Is this a Siteorigin Headline widget bug or is this something to do with the ‘Insert pages’ plugin which can not handle the siteorigin headline widget?

    Any help most appreciated.

    Thanks for the update.

Here is a demo source page set up with the same headline:

    https://demo.siteorigin.com/corp/source-page/

Here is a demo insert page. I’ve used the shortcode:

    [insert page='source-page' display='content']

    https://demo.siteorigin.com/corp/insert-page/

    Test screenshots: https://imgur.com/a/uO8lPdn

To troubleshoot the issue you can try the same. Set up a demo page, insert only Headline widget, copy that page using the insert page shortcode. Does the issue persist?

Put another way, try to set up a test and establish a working baseline. Once you have a working baseline you can add elements to the test until the issue reoccurs. Once the issue reoccurs you would have hopefully established when and what is causing the problem.

    Thanks for your guidance.
Tried duplicating but gave up after futile attempts.
Have decided to ditch the Siteorigin headline widget and just use regular Siteorigin Editor instead for headlines.
There is definitely a bug of some sort, either in the siteorigin headline widget, or in siteorigin, or in insert pages plugin. It appears intermittently and is unpredictable, so makes it hard to replicate.

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear you’re making progress via the Editor widget.

If you’re able to provide steps to replicate the issue, please, let us know, we’d be happy to investigate further from there.
