Siteorigin

  • We’ve been using Siteorigin for several years and have a pro license with these guys.
    We’ve got several 100 client sites with their Vantage theme and their other themes.
    Their premium support is second to none.
    We also never intend to use Gutenberg either.

    Doesn’t get any better than Siteorigin. When building a site, especially a business or corporate site, let your imagination run wild with their Page Builder and Plugins, You might surprise yourself with how awesome the end results will be.

    Thank you Siteorigin for taking WordPress to a new level in web designing.

    Thank you for your very kind words! ??

    If you do ever decide to use Gutenberg, we’ve still got your back! We’ve introduced two blocks that will allow you to use all of the same functionality you’re currently using in Gutenberg. They are:

    SiteOrigin Layout block is the full SiteOrigin Page Builder interface in block form
    SiteOrigin Widgets block will allow you to add SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle widgets directly to your pages.

    We’ll have your back regardless of whether you the Classic Editor or the Block Editor (ie. Gutenberg). Which one you use, purely comes down to personal preference. ??

    Hi Alex, nice to hear back from you. One thing you don’t have to do is let us know you’ve got our backs covered, we already know that.

    We’ve had one of our vps test servers full of test sites for Gutenberg now for several months. We have 9 WordPress developers in my office. They gave it their all and really tried to make it work.

    We had a meeting on it today before I sent everyone home for Christmas. All of them refuse to use it, and the number 1 reason, because it doesn’t fit our business profile, and shoving something down someones throat when it’s not ready.

    It’s also incapable of building business and corporate websites to the high degree that our many clients expect from us. We also manage every client’s website. We’re a business consulting and business management firm and do the websites for our clients as part of their management from us.

    So, as things stand with us now, we have anything and everything blocked concerning Gutenberg and anymore WordPress updates.We feel like we’ve done our share in supporting WordPress for many years, and now we feel like they’ve let us down by trying to force something on us that doesn’t benefit us or our clients.

    We’re not slamming Gutenberg, it just doesn’t fit our business profile for our clients.

    The girls in the office that you’ve handled some support tickets for told me to give you a shout out and wish you and everyone at Siteorigin a Merry Christmas. We all do.
