sitemap.xml Redirects to root on subsites

Installed most recent version 1.1.4 on WP 4.5.2.
Doesn’t work with subsites.
https://www.foobar.com/subsite/sitemap.xml redirects to https://www.foobar.com/subsite
https://www.foobar.com/sitemap.xml works as expected.
Other sitemap plugins previously installed (since removed) generated /subsite/sitemap.xml as expected.
Any ideas?
