Since upgrading to 2.1, my sitemap.xml no longer lives in the wp-content/sitemaps folder. However, I can find it in the root example.com/sitemap.xml

Contrary to other plugins that generate sitemap files, this one will add a rewrite rule and store your cached sitemaps in the wp-content/sitemaps folder.

I’m slightly confused why mine is the the root?

    UPDATE:

My sitemap.xml is now both in the root and also in the wp-content/sitemaps folder. I should have waited a few minutes for it to generate. Marking as resolved/not an issue.

    Apologies!
