Sitemaps switched off but still showing.

    I have disabled the author sitemap and the category sitemap in the Yoast settings but they are still showing on my sitemap_index.xml page. Have I missed something?

    Hi there @aerosurfer

    We understand that you’ve disabled the authors and categories from generating its own sub-sitemap in the sitemap index.

    We’re checking your website’s /sitemap_index.xml now and we do see that only the posts and pages sub-sitemap is generating, so it’s working as expected.

    Perhaps it might have been a cached result, but it looks to be correct now. Could you check and see if you see the same?
