• I am not running WordPress on my sites, but I use WordPress to create blogs. I am concerned with the search engine optimization – while I was able to add the sites to their index I have a problem with the Sitemaps. I cannot utilize any plug-ins, because I am using a blog version of WP. I created the sitemaps using the https://www.sitemapsubmit.net/ – but I cannot upload them to my blog and I need them to be uploaded to the root to be able to submit them to bing/google.

    What is the solution?

    Thanks

  • If your site and blog are separate, and if you do not use WordPress for your site, you may need to upload the sitemap to the root. I don’t think there is a workaround.

ok, then how do i upload the sitemap to the root?

    Thanks

You need to login to your hosting account (go to file manager or whatever your host provides), or use FTP. If you still find problems, your host will be able to help you.
