    Hi @jjjrrr,

The WPML team and I periodically exchange emails to see if everything’s compatible, and the issue you’re describing has already been noticed and notified.
These exchanges happen behind the screens, and I think I should be a little more forward publishing such results as I (or we) find them.

Nevertheless, the reason this is happening is that WPML can’t (yet) generate query URLs outside of the language scope in this case. This means that URLs for fr can’t be correctly generated when on the en part of the site.
However, the URLs do project a 301 redirect (i.e. the good kind), which should indicate to users and crawlers alike that the page is found elsewhere.
Therefore, I believe this doesn’t impact “crawlability” in any way.

Note that the sitemap isn’t used in ranking; instead, it’s only used to feed an accessible list of URLs and their respective modification times to crawlers.

My advice: Do nothing and simply wait for a patch note that states this is resolved by either party.

Thanks Sybre, I actually just (literally 2 minutes ago) found this issue on Github: https://github.com/sybrew/the-seo-framework/issues/69

    I’ll hold tight!
