• Hi guys,

I am using the WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin to generate sitemaps, and there is a error when submitting the sitemap to Google Webmaster Tools.

The error is: “An invalid date was found. Please fix the date or formatting before resubmitting.”

    Parent tag: url
    Tag: lastmod
    Value: -0001-11-30T00:00:00+00:00

    Line 538

I believe the problem lies in https://bitcoinreviewer.com/post-sitemap.xml where https://bitcoinreviewer.com/ shows up with a date of -0001-11-3 T00:0

This is clearly not a properly formatted date, like the rest of the posts. I’m not even sure if the homepage is supposed to be in that particular sitemap, since it’s a page, not a post.

I have tried editing the date published on the homepage, as well as making changes to update the date. I’ve also tried disabling and re-enabling the plugin’s sitemap. The invalid date still stays there.

Can anybody help me to come up with a fix to this problem? It’d be greatly appreciated!

Removing & re-adding the sitemap in Webmaster Tools also does not work. I guess there isn’t an easy fix for this, right?
