    Hi,

Yes, you should not mess with them unless you know exactly the effect they will have. Do not disable them, just leave them set as they are – https://semperplugins.com/documentation/xml-sitemaps-module/#prioritiesandfrequencies

Thanks for replying. I don’t think I made myself clear. The suggested format is just a raw list of urls, with no frequency or priority data added. Is there a way to do that? Thanks.

I understood you completely. I’m saying don’t touch anything. If you’re using All in One SEO Pack then let the plugin handle this because that’s what it does. Whoever told you that Priority and Frequency should be removed gave you bad information. The sitemap protocol requires those fields and so do search engines. If you delete them then the sitemap will be useless to search engines and they’ll reject it.

Apparently not including the the Priority and the Frequency was the suggestion of the late overseer of the GWMT forum. That’s where I got this info.

I understand what you say about the importance of the data. But, just to understand you, there is no way to exclude the Priority and Frequency data from the sitemap?

In the GWTM forum, I’ve been advised that pages that in my site are rarely updated are listed as “Daily.” Is there a way to change that?

So I have no idea why someone would advise you to remove that information, it’s integral to the sitemap and required by every search engine.

Again, I’d strongly advise you not to touch the settings in All in One SEO Pack unless you understand the implications. Let All in One SEO Pack work out how often you update and let it provide that information in your sitemap, that’s what it’s there for.

I’m taking over maintenance of a website that already has the All in One SEO plugin and I was wondering is there a way to set a priority and frequency for each page individually?
When I go into Priorities > Posts and Select Individual it doesn’t show all of the pages/posts.
Can I add them as Individual Pages?

    Hi edcamp,

You can only control the Priorities for each post type, not for each individual post.

If I were to add them as Additional Pages would that work?
Also can I disable the sitemap feature?

Yes, that would work except you might end up with the page showing on the sitemap twice.

Yes, go to Feature Manager to deactivate any module.

    THANKS!
