Sitemap / robots.txt with multiple domains?

  • Hello,

    I asked myself how the sitemap-link in the robots.txt should be when the site is available with/under multiple domains.

    Do you have experience about this?

    I tried to set kind of relative path in robots.txt like

    Sitemap: /sitemap_index.xml

    but it seems that this is not correct/working.

    What would you recommend about this?

    Hey Timo,

    Are you using some plugin (e.g. Yoast) to create your robots.txt or writing it yourself?

    Hi Gustavo,

    thanks for your reply.

    I use Yoast but I just insert the robots.txt-content via Yoast in the Editor/File.

    Were you able to find a way to fix this? Do you think the var replacement you mentioned in the other topic could be used here?
