Sitemap Returns 404 Not Found Page

Sorry for the late reply. I was out of office today and had a full schedule yesterday and thus no time yet to reply.

I had a quick look at the site and the issue is an existing redirect. Opening sitemap.xml redirects to sitemap_index.xml which does not exist.

The Sitemap Generator generates the sitemap.xml and never does any redirects, so the redirection has be defined somewhere else. Maybe in another plugin or the .htaccess file? Do you have another sitemap plugin or an generic redirection plugin installed?

Hi @mbsec! Thanks for the reply! The Yoast SEO plugin was initially activated so it probably came from that.

Hi @mbsec, I apologize for being off topic. I don’t know where to write. I bought a plugin, but the thing is, it doesn’t work correctly, it only makes a sitemap for a photo, it doesn’t make a page. прошу прощения, что не по теме. Я не знаю куда писать. Я купил плагин, но дело в том, он работает неправельно, делает карту сайта только фото, страницы не делает. Плагин на 25000, на сайте нет 25000 даже если с фото. А он делает карту и пишет что лимит закончился, открываю карту а там только фото страниц нет. В чем может быть проблема? плагин стоит я им не пользуюсь, очень жалко
