  • @ubisan, can you post a link to your sitemap? What do you see when you open it? There should be an entry like sitemap-pt-products-2014-05.xml which should contain all posts from the taxonomy products.

I have just installed WooCommerce and can confirm it is working. The entry should be named “sitemap-pt-product-2014-05.xml”. The year and month depends on when the product was published.

Arnee, that’s great. It’s a new shop with thousands of products though so how do I get a sitemap generated with all of the products?

    thanks

    Colin

    Yes, that should work!

BWP Google XML Sitemaps plugin worked for me

thanks and please mark as solved

Not working for me. I installed the XML Sitemap Generator. I checked the boxes for including the products and various categories, tags. I update options with the button at the bottom.

I still have all my static pages i created in wordpress – pages and posts.

I have none of the new products, categories, tags, from the Woocommerce plugin.

    help please.

    Thanks!

UPDATE – It is working, sort of. I have found the /product/ and other urls listed in the sitemap.

    YEAH!

But, here’s the problem. My sitemap is apparently only at 50% Priority and Monthly visits by Google! (I marked it in bold below) I need it daily because I’m adding dozens of products per day to my store.

HELP! (Copy/paste of my sitemap below)

    Hi,
I manage a website for the sale of online courses on WordPress platform, the ‘e-commerce today is managed with simplecart.js and products are interpreted by wp as articles, unfortunately adding woocommerce management products created me problems with the titleurl and then with links to products already indexed and ranked on google.
The permalink of woocommerce uses a slug initial “shop” that I changed into “courses” (The category of the old site). By setting as follows permalinks are able to make the same titleurl.

    WordPress old site
    site.com/corsi/sub_category/sample_product.

    Woocommerce
    ex. site.com/corsi/product_cat/sample_product.

The products in google with the old management are indexed with some subcategory (site.com/corsi/sub_category/sample_prduct)
    and some without subcategory
    site.com/corsi/sample_product).

With this management woocommerce causes an internal redirect to the product page.

    I ask you:
    1) The risk of submitting a new sitemap with the title url to date will make me lose the positioning of the products?
    2) if I leave the old site sitemap resulting internal redirects to product page will make me lose the positioning of the products?

    I hope I was clear
    Alessandro

aimforawesome how did you fix your problem?

I didn’t. Still need help. Guess it isn’t forthcoming… lol.
