I see where Yoast SEO is supposed to have created page_sitemap.xml. But most page speed sites I run on the website is looking for sitemap.xml not the above named xml. Besides the naming and locating the file is impossible. I have looked in all the directories for my site and can not find it anywhere. Please help..

?The sitemap XML file is generated dynamically upon request, so this is not a file that is accessible via FTP or from cPanel’s file manager. As for the URL, the sitemap is generated at sitemap_index.xml, and the page_sitemap.xml will be listed in the sitemap_index.xml file. Can you please check that URL to see whether it is shown there?

OK, but when some search engines ask for the sitemap file, what do I put?? Oh by the way, the sitemap_index.xml show the page_sitemap.xml and all pages are in it..

We submitting the sitemap, you would just submit sitemap_index.xml. Google will find the other sitemaps from the sitemap index so you don’t have to submit them individually.
