    Hello Yattaa,
The sitemap url is created only if a Websites path is set to /. Another words, if the path is set to /anything/ the sitemap url will not be added to the robots.txt file.

Network Settings > Sites > Edit Site > Path

    – If the Websites path is / the sitemap url should be added to the robots.txt file.
    – If the path is /anything/ it should not write the sitemap url.

The plugin assumes a website with a /path/ set is a non-mapped Website. This is because a non-mapped website, uses the network url for it’s Website url. Thus the sitemap url would use the network url, rather than the proper domain.

Let me know if this explains your issue.

    Path is just ‘/’

Does it test if the sitemap file is really existing and write sitemap link only when sitemap is existing in these robot.txt “files”?

My Sitemap URL Structure is: https://[WEBSITE_URL]/sitemap_index.xml

Have “Check To Add Sitemap URL To Robots.txt File” checked, click on “save default settings” and then to “publish to network”

    Using yoasts SEO plugin
