    Hi folks,

It’s kind of a hard one to describe…

I realised today that I can a duplicate post, I don’t know what I done to generate two posts the same. So I deleted the second one, I knew it was the second one because the url has a -2/ at the end. Now when I rebuild the sitemap, its missing all posts after the point in time when I created the duplicate post. Does that make sense?

    To try and explain better….

    Post75 is a post.
    Post76 is the duplicate post.

The duplicate post was created on 10th May.
I have made loads of posts between then and now, they show up no problems on the blog, they are there.
When I view the sitemap, it shows all posts up to post76 and nothing after. But post76 has been deleted so how is the sitemap still seeing it?

I’ve ran it in debug but no errors or warning are shown. I’ve deleted the sitemap.xml and sitemap.xml.gz files and rebuilt the sitemap but it’s still missing the latest posts.

Does anyone have any idea how I fix this please?

Here’s the url to the sitemap…

    https://www.keep-fishing.com/sitemap.xml

    Thanks! ??

I’ve just refreshed my sitemap.xml and it appears that all the recent posts are now included. I guess it take a while to populate the sitemap. It’s a new site with only 27 urls so I would have thought it would have taken no more than a few seconds to generate the sitemap but I guess not.

    Sorry folks, false alarm.

If you’ve deleted some posts, it’s probably worth manually re-generating your sitemap via the Google Sitemap Generator’s options page.
