    Hello,
    today i got an error message from Google search console.

    One of my page sitemap.html is mark as ‘noindex’ detected in ‘robots’ meta tag.

    How I can index this page and fix this error ?

    Please help me to fix it .

  • I got the same error, keen to know if this is a genuine error.

    Any updates on this? I’m getting the same error in google console and when looking at the xml source code, the “noindex,follow” meta tag is present.

    The plug-in needs a code update, but a quick fix is to uncheck ‘Include sitemap in HTML format’.

    What’s the latest on this fix? Site maps being set to no index by google is a pretty major issue? it defeats the point of the plugin

    google throwing up this issue: detected in ‘X-Robots-Tag’ http header

    Hei,
    No worries, here is your solution.

    1. Go to your XML Sitemaps plugin
    2. Click on Settings
    3. Uncheck the box “Include sitemap in HTML format”
    4. Click the button “Update options” (at the bottom.)
    5. Now click “Notify Search Engines about your sitemap or your main sitemap and all sub-sitemaps now.” – (at top)
    6. Now click on “validate fix” on your search console.
