    Hello,

I’m getting an error message from google search console each time I try to submit the sitemaps (https://hundeverein-rosenheim.de/index_sitemap.xml) it can not read any of the two sitemaps.

It just gives me a “General HTTP” error message (no error code).

    I tried updating the permalinks.
    Robots.txt is not blocking.

    Can you please help me?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @sandrastrassner4

Thanks for reaching out regarding your sitemap. Both sitemaps in the index load fine so it’s unclear why Google Search Console isn’t fetching it. Also, I suggest deactivating wpr_mega_menu-sitemap.xml as the content is not useful. Navigate to WordPress > Yoast SEO > Settings > Content Types > Mega menu and toggle the button turn OFF shoing that content in search results.

Then you can resubmit the sitemap index again and do let us know how it goes.

    Hi @maybellyne,

    thank you for your answer!
I did remove the mega menu and the posts (not using it at the moment).

I also checked with google and they say they can’t help.

Current status: the sitemap_index is fine but when I look deeper it still sends me an error for the page sitemap.

URL live test says: “noindex” in HTTP-Header “X-Robots-Tag”… Can I change that?

    Thanks!
